On some Carnival ships the pizza restaurant is called Pizza Pirate, while on others it is called Pizzeria del Capitano. Blue Iguana Cantina is another popular and complimentary food venue found on all Carnival ships. Guy’s Burger Joint is a popular alternative restaurant and is one of my family’s favorite lunch or early casual dinner spot. The experience can accommodate 16 diners, and children 12 and older are permitted, though they'll drink soft drinks rather than wine. (There's no discount for kids.) Sign-up is required, and the earlier the better, as the exclusive experience tends to sell out.

Carnival Cruise Line presents its guests with diverse dining alternatives. Among the favorites is the Main Dining Room, a sit-down restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It offers a constantly changing menu of delights like steak, roasted duck, scallops, and prime rib, ensuring a different meal every day. Every vessel has two main dining rooms and a casual buffet eatery where meals are included in the fare. Guy's Pig & Anchor

This exclusive multicourse dining experience hosted by the ship's master executive chef takes place in untraditional spaces like the galley or library to give you a behind-the-scenes VIP feel. The dinner menu itself changes based on what's in season or local to the port, but it always includes wine pairings and, of course, dessert. Black coffee and tea are free at the buffet and in the main dining room, but you'll want to come here for specialty coffee drinks like espresso or cold brew.

The crispy chicken sandwich is a food fad that isn't going away anytime soon, and Carnival's chief fun officer Shaquille O'Neal is the face behind this new chicken spot on the latest Carnival ships. Here, you can find everything chicken — chicken sandwiches, crispy chicken strips and fried chicken baskets (even chicken biscuits at breakfast!) — plus essential sides like potato salad and jalapeno slaw. This casual poolside spot serves up Mexican favorites like tacos and burritos with fillings including chipotle chicken, roast pork and battered fish.

Plates are beautifully created, with presentation nearly as important as taste. Therefore, the menu was limited and we couldn’t see what else was even available. On Carnival Ecstasy, the Alchemy Bar was located outside of the Starlight Lounge. You could tell the bar was added during some phase of refurbishment given its odd placement near the staircase, but it was still nice to have it as an option.
